Jessicca's Scribe Post

Hello everybody, it's me again, Aichelle. =) Jessicca was having trouble putting up her scribe post so I told her to send me her scribe post and the following pictures. Before you read her post, don't forget to sign up for a del.icio.us account. http://del.icio.us/register Lastly here is her post:

Okay, so today we did a quiz on the systems we've been learning these last few days. Afterwards Mr. K took our quizzes and handed them throughout the class to correct. We looked over our marks after having them corrected and handed back to us. Then Mr. K wrote two questions on the board that we needed to graph:
y = x^2 + x - 6
y = (x + 3)(x - 2)

y = x^2 - 2x - 8
y = (x - 4)(x + 2)

After graphing these equations, Mr. K erased the equal signs and replaced them with a different sign.

y ≤ (x + 3)( x - 2)
y > (x - 4)( x + 2)

Next for the equation y ≤ (x + 3)( x - 2) we tried to find the values that are greater than y.

The solution turned out to be (-∞, -3] U [ 2, ∞)

This is the solution to the other problem:

The next scribe is Jacky S.
